The Power of Small Encounters

A warm mini-documentary about an older man living with dementia, his dog Sem, and the small encounters that make the world feel a little bigger.

As he moves through the changes that dementia brings, his world slowly becomes smaller. But when he goes outside with Sem, unexpected moments of connection still happen — a conversation on the street, a kind word, a shared smile.

He shares glimpses of his life through old photographs, tells stories about his background as a building engineer, and shows his carefully kept stamp collection

Through these everyday encounters, we discover not only the man he is today, but also the stories, memories and person behind him.
