The best camera? It's probably already in your pocket.

After several years of filming with the iPhone 16, a Shoulderpod, a couple of lavalier microphones, and a RØDE microphone with a windscreen, I can honestly say I'm grateful I chose this setup.

At first, I felt a little self-conscious. It didn't seem as "professional" as showing up with a big camera. Looking back, that was just a belief I had created in my own mind.

Starting with less taught me more. It forced me to become creative, pay attention to composition, lighting, and audio, and most importantly, focus on the story rather than the gear.

Of course, there are situations where a professional camera is the better choice. But the iPhone 16 has shown me that you don't need expensive equipment to create meaningful, high-quality content.

At the end of the day, people remember the story—not the camera you used to tell it.

The rough part of the journey is often where you learn the most.
